Anyone can learn the guitar
I believe everyone has the potential to express themselves musically. I meet so many people who wished they had continued playing instruments they started learning as children.
There's now overwhelming evidence that learning an instrument benefits us on so many levels. For me its been challenging and yet great fun, and it provides a space where I can create music, relax, reflect and feel a sense of peace and fulfillment..
I was lucky to have guitar teachers who were patient and supportive and this fostered in me a willingness to learn. This combined with a natural passion for the sound of the spanish guitar has led me to explore songwriting and develop my guitar technique to a level where I'm now able to share my knowledge.
I believe learning to play an instrument is like so many things in life, its best to enjoy the journey not just focus on the end goal. I aim to create a relaxed environment in which adults and children alike can enjoy the learning process. Lessons are fun, relaxed and informative.

You will learn how to play beginners chords, construct simple scales, Strum in various rythmns, finger pick, play spanish & flamenco style and play your favourite songs.
Lessons are available Monday to Friday during the day and Monday, Thursday and Friday evenings.
Each lesson lasts 60 minutes or half an hour for young children, and includes a warm up exercise, learning new chords, guitar technique and learning a song.
If you'd like to try a lesson before buying a guitar, I have one childs guitar and one adult guitar which you are free to borrow for the first lesson. I can also offer guidance if your thinking of purchasing your first guitar.
